Reggae Genealogy at Island SPACE Caribbean Museum

On Saturday January 20th, Island SPACE will host the Reggae Genealogy Launch Party and Panel Discussion at the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum located inside Broward Mall, in the City of Plantation, Florida.

The Panel Discussion topic is “THE ROOTS & FRUITS OF THE REGGAE FAMILY TREE”

Panel Discussion will be hosted/moderated by Richard Hugh Blackford of YAAWD Media.

Panelists will be asked to contribute their perspectives on the origins and development of Jamaican music, from Mento through Nyabinghi, Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Lover’s Rock and Dancehall. The influence of Jamaican musical culture on Hip Hop, Reggaeton, EDM and Afrobeats will also be discussed.
