The month of October is Black History Month in the UK.  It’s a time that history is remembered, and achievements are highlighted.  The national celebration aims to promote the contributions of those from the Caribbean and African communities to society at large.  Theresa Roberts – U.K. Jamaican Ambassador for Arts & Culture says “Black History Month is important as it keeps the history and contributions made by the black community, prominent in people’s minds across the U.K.”
