Original King of the Dancehall, Yellowman, has had his song “Mr. Chin” placed in the movie Boogie.
Directed by Eddie Huang and distributed by Focus Features, Boogie is a film about Alfred “Boogie” Chin, a basketball phenom living in Queens, N.Y., who dreams of one day playing in the NBA. While his parents pressure him to focus on earning a scholarship to an elite college, Boogie must find a way to navigate a new girlfriend, high school, on-court rivals and the burden of expectation.
Boogie is showing at AMC Theatres. “Mr. Chin” is featured on the soundtrack released by Republic Records.
