Reggae Month was officially proclaimed and first staged in 2008, spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture and powered by the Jamaican Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA).  The focus of Reggae Month is “edutainment,” highlighting Jamaica’s musical history and heritage.
