Our Yard, established in 2022 by founder Nathaniel Wilson, is a project that looks at the positive impact that immigration has had on the U.K. and highlights the influence it has had on popular culture through a series of interviews, films and events. Nathaniel’s work has recently caught the attention of Rinse FM and he now hosts a regular podcast show featuring special guests such as Don Letts, Mikey Dread (Channel One) and Mad Professor.
“I wanted to show the story of my heritage and the positive impact immigration has had on the UK through the chronological story of Soundsystem Culture from the Windrush Generation to the present day. Connecting the musical dots so that generations to come can see this legacy.”
