Toronto vibed to great Reggae at ‘Skankin’ Sweet,’ the bi-monthly event, hosted and produced by Joshua Lucas. Top-ranking sound systems Black Reaction, King Turbo, RedLinkz, King B Chosen 1 and Joshua Lucas came together to give music lovers a night of great selections. The capacity crowd was “skankin’ sweet” to everything from foundation gems to current hits.
“This event was vibrant from start to finish. Most of the crowd arrived before 12am and sang along and danced throughout the night,” said Courtney of Annakie Media. Joshua Lucas also explained, “I’ve been building Skankin’ Sweet over the past five years to be the love letter to the music that has shaped both me, and the world, which is reggae music. I am extremely grateful and pleased with this year’s turnout and success, and can’t wait for the success that the party will have in the future, Jah willing.”
Fans were also treated to VP Records giveaways including their annual calendar, Romain Virgo ‘The Gentle Man’ CD’s and the vinyl edition of Rebirth of the Cool Ruler.
