Romain Virgo invites you to a meet and greet taking place on Saturday, April 20, at VP Records Retail Store at 170-19 Jamaica Ave, Queens, NY from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the event is free!
In addition to meeting the artist, fans will have a chance to buy CD copies of his new album, The Gentle Man, signed personally. With proof of album streaming or download on their phones, fans can also expect to receive a signed Romain Virgo picture.
The celebration will run concurrently to Record Store Day, which features Bass Odyssey Sound System, who will honor their fellow St. Ann native by playing the best custom Romain Virgo dubplates in their collection during a vinyl-only outdoor session.
“Come on out, come take a picture – the album will be on sale. Come hol’ a good vibe with me!” said Romain Virgo in anticipation of the event.
Described by the artist as his “most candid body of work to date,” “The Gentle Man” rolled out on March 1 to critical acclaim. It features the artists Masicka, Capleton, Patoranking, and Jesse Royal, and was led by the singles “Good Woman,” “Driver,” “Switch You On,” and “Been There Before.”
In support of the album, Romain Virgo performed a string of shows in Jamaica in February and March, which he plans to follow up at several festivals across the Caribbean in April, and in Europe from June to August, with more shows to be announced.
