Queen Ifrica and Leroy Sibbles Connect with Fans at VP Records In-Store Event

By 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, fans had begun filing into VP Records on Jamaica Avenue in Queens. Queen Ifrica’s music played over the speakers as people browsed shelves, picked up records, and lined up for autographs. The crowd leaned older—core supporters, many arriving with CDs and vinyl in hand.
Queen Ifrica and Leroy Sibbles spent the afternoon greeting fans, signing records, and posing for photos. At one point, Queen Ifrica was presented with a framed photo of herself from decades ago, taken by photographer Ajamu Myrie. She held it up for the cameras, then stood alongside Sibbles as attendees gathered to capture the moment.
The event was broadcast live on Irie Jam Radio 97.1FM HD3. Festival tickets were available at a discounted rate, and shoppers received 10% off all Queen Ifrica and Leroy Sibbles titles. The flow of visitors continued through the end of the event at 5 p.m., with people lingering to take photos and chat before heading out.
