Brooklyn by Borough President Eric L. Adams Presents Estelle with Citation and

Keys to the City of Brooklyn

On Thursday August 9th, multiplatinum GRAMMY winner Estelle was presented the Keys to Brooklyn by Borough President Eric L. Adams at the annual Wingate Concert Series. The evening included electric performances by acclaimed reggae and Soca artists such as Barrington Levy, Alison Hinds, Serani and more. The night included a video tribute to Estelle’s impressive decade long career and followed with a lively set by Estelle playing her hits “American Boy,” “Conqueror” and her latest single, “Better” from her forthcoming reggae album, Lover’s Rock (out September 7th via Established 1980 Inc and VP Records).

In comparison to the studio albums of her formative years, Lover’s Rock is Estelle’s most personal album to date, as she centers in on her West Indian roots with a full-fledged reggae album. She has collaborated with esteemed Jamaican producer Supa Dups [Drake, Beenie Man], Reefa [Lil Wayne], Jerry Wonda [Wyclef Jean], Harmony Samuels [Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande], Dre Harris [Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige], and more. In the LP, Estelle has assured to fuse her signature R&B and hip-hop sound while paying homage to her Grenadian roots as she not only concentrates in reggae, but also embraces Afro-beats and Soca music. The collection will also include her 2017 critically acclaimed single with Tarrus Riley, “Love Like Ours,” as well as a few more exciting collaborations on the album – PRESS HERE to pre-order and for more information.
