It was a girl filled two hours for STAR of the month Romain Virgo during the
online and phone chat at The Gleaner's North Street offices yesterday.
With a strong female fan base, the 20-year-old singer was bombarded by
females who wanted to get his number and speak to him on a more personal
level.
One female caller explained that she had text into THE STAR giving her number
for the singer to call her as she told him, "there's no joke bout it, don't keep
my number as souvenir, bye until I hear from you."
Another female fan said, "Romain, I've loved you since school days from
'All Together Sing', I'm a big fan of yours."
I make dem proud
Other fans were even more outrageous but for Virgo, he enjoyed the hour
spent interacting. He said, "it was wonderful, most people were just encouraging,
some of them saying I even motivated them and I make dem proud."
During the online session, which for the first time was interactive with a host,
Virgo answered more serious questions about his time in the Digicel Rising Stars
competition, his progression as an artiste, his upcoming US tour and his recently
released self-titled album.
One fan surprised everyone by asking if he would do a collaboration with
Vybz Kartel to which Virgo responded, as long as it was positive music.
