Job Brief:

Applicant will be exposed to different types of royalties but will be primarily responsible for processing mechanical royalties.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain structures in the royalty system.
  • Create payees and mechanical licenses for all monthly releases.
  • Generate mechanical royalty calculations.
  • Rendering all mechanical royalty statements.
  • Requesting all mechanical royalty payments.
  • Audit royalty statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Mechanical royalty claims.
  • Conduct special projects as needed.
  • Liaison with other record labels and music companies.
  • Customer service phone calls and e-mails.
  • This position has statement cycle deadlines, both Quarterly and Semiannually.
  • Must be fully vaccinated.

Required Education & Skills

  • Strong computer skills including Adobe PDF and Microsoft Office.
    • VLOOKUP and Pivot table proficiency in Excel is a big plus.
  • Two-year college degree or 1 year royalty accounting experience preferred.

  • Review and analyze market and competitor releases.
  • Sharing best practices across the company with VP artists and their teams.
  • Monitoring and improving streaming performance for new release and catalog products.

Required Education & Skills

  • 3 to 4 years of applicable music industry experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to organize and analyze data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the digital music and social media ecosystem.
  • Solid written and presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with multiple departments across the company.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Applicant must be fully vaccinated.
